TRAVERTINE
Travertine is a sedimentary rock formed mainly from calcium carbonate and originating millions of years ago from deposits in rivers and hot springs. This is what gives it it's unique and timeless beauty.
A member of the limestone family, Travertine retains a structural integrity and possesses high levels of strength, durability and resistance. These qualities make it ideal for a wide range of applications including external paving, internal flooring, wall cladding, driveways and pool surrounds.
LIMESTONE
Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of calcite or aragonite, formed over millions of years from the compaction of layers of tiny animal shells and micro-skeleton deposited on the sea bed. It is versatile, hard and durable, standing up well to exposure.
The colour of Limestone will depend on what other elements were present during its formation, such as sand, clay or iron oxide. It is generally light in colour like white or tan, but may also be brown, yellow or red, even blue, black or grey.
Limestone is a classic and elegant natural stone that can be used for either internal or external applications. it will give that perfect finishing touch to your home.
MARBLE
Marble is a metamorphic rock comprised of recrystalized carbonate minerals; most commonly calcite or dolomite. These original minerals are subjected to extremes of heat and pressure over millions of years causing a profound physical or chemical change. The colour and vein variations in marble are foliation layers; the results of these extremes repeating over time.
Marble is a very durable rock and is commonly used in sculpture and as a building material.
MOSAICS
Mosaics are small pieces of material, such as stone or glass. Due to stone's natural variations in colour the choices are almost endless for decorative features. Mosaics are available in sheets for ease of installation
